Treatment of ovarian inflammation: what to do for pain? Medications and antibiotics?

When ongoing inflammation is confirmed, broad-spectrum antibiotics are administered in the acute phase. In some cases, anti-inflammatory drugs and painkillers are also administered.

The duration of treatment lasts approximately 10 to 14 days.  In most cases, the treatment is successful and the inflammation is cured.

If the course of the infection is more severe, hospitalization and administration of antibiotics directly by infusion is usually necessary.

In severe inflammation with ongoing abscess, surgical solution is necessary. Further complications are prevented by removing the purulent deposit.

For the chronic form, enzyme therapy such as trypsin retard, Wobenzym, immunization therapy to boost immunity and non-steroidal antirheumatic drugs are recommended.

The therapy also includes bed rest, bed rest, immunity support medications, sufficient fluid intake.

In an acute condition, it is recommended to apply ice to the painful area, which not only relieves the pain , but reduces the blood supply to the area of inflammation and slows its spread to the surrounding tissues.

After the acute stage has passed, heat treatment is given. Heat increases blood circulation and improves healing. Application of heat is recommended to reduce the altered tissue affected by inflammation and reduce the risk of scarring.

Sitting baths, application of warm compresses to the lower abdomen are recommended. Heat treatment is carried out only after the inflammation is cured, so as not to cause a recurrence of inflammation.

For chronic inflammations, baths with mud packs are recommended.

Inflammation of the ovaries and home treatment

As for home treatment, here it is best to take measures, especially in the framework of preventing inflammation. Since infection very often arises from environmental transmission, care must be taken to ensure adequate hygiene and also to wear warm clothing, because, as has already been said, the common cold is not the cause, but is a very significant risk factor.

If you already have ovarian inflammation, home "treatment" with herbs or herbal tea can help.

Lady's mantle (Alchemilla vulgaris) is very good for ovarian inflammation and impaired ovarian function. Whether it is a tea or a sedentary bath, both also help in chronic recurrence of the disease. Lady's mantle also relieves discharges and itching in the intimate area.
