The popular method of the Slovak physician Eugen Jonáš, M.D., is a method for regulating natural conception and determining the sex of a child. It is based on two biorhythms that create a woman's fertile days. What is the principle and method of calculation of the Jonáš method?

Who is Eugen Jonah?

Eugen Jonáš, M.D., comes from Nové Zámky, Slovakia. He studied medicine at the Medical University in Bratislava and passed the final specialty examination in psychiatry at the University of Prague.

During his professional life he worked at various psychiatric clinics and also served as a foreman and expert witness.

He was interested in child psychology, biorhythms, but his greatest success was with the method of conception regulation. In the 1990s, Dr. Jonáš was nominated for the Nobel Prize by American scientists and founded the Jonáš International Center.

Today it is the only official centre for calculating natural conception according to this method. The centre is currently run by his children.

The principle of the Jonah method of natural conception

The basic principle of the calculation of conception regulation is based on two independent biorhythms of the female body.

The first biorhythm depends on menstruation and the woman's cycle. The second biorhythm is calculated individually for each woman due to her date of birth, the influence of the lunar phase and the angle of the moon and the sun.

In addition to the periodic cycle of a woman, he stated the existence of another individual lunar cycle which is related to the phases of the moon and astrology.

His method is based on a lifetime of research and evaluation of the results of 30,000 requests from couples to calculate the fertile/infertile days, sex and health of the woman's child. He evaluated the results gradually over a period of 34 years.

His longitudinal research confirmed a 98% success rate of the method.

Jonah created and validated the method in maternity hospitals by processing 8,000 births. He clarified the calculation of fertile and infertile days, the regularities of the sex of the child, twins, the date and time of birth or the influence of artificial influences on natural conception.

Dr. Jonah also drew on basic biological biorhythms affecting humans, such as the influence of the sun, moon, weather and climate.

The first discovery concerning fertility calculation was made by Eugene Jonah on the Feast of the Assumption, of which he was a great admirer. One of the basic messages of the method is the procreation of healthy children by healthy women.

The goal of the Jonah Method is:

  • The elimination of abortion
  • Reduce women's use of contraception
  • Eliminating childless marriages
  • Encouraging the conception of healthy children

What can the Jonah Method calculate?

Using the calculator, it is possible to calculate the most fertile days, infertile days, the ideal time to conceive, determine the sex of the child, the possibility of twins and also predict the viability of the child born.

Currently, 4 types of calculations are available within the method:

  • Naturally infertile days
  • Boy or girl
  • Fertile days
  • Viable baby

1. Naturally infertile days

From the data obtained from the client, a calculation of natural contraception and conception protection is made. The client is presented with a plan for a full calendar year ahead from her last menstrual period.

The reliability of the infertile days method has been verified in married couples with at least one child, where their possible infertility has been ruled out.

2. Boy or girl

The calculation of the dates for the successful conception of a boy or a girl is particularly suitable for women who have no problem getting pregnant or have had no complications during pregnancy and childbirth.

From the patient's data, a yearly plan is evaluated starting from the last menstrual period.

The calculation determines 3-4 exact dates ideal for conception of a given sex. For clients with a previous birth, data from the first or previous pregnancy is also used.

During the research, this category included couples who had already had at least one child and used the calculation of naturally infertile and fertile days for at least one year.

They were then assigned to the sex-selection group, which only confirmed the accuracy of Jonah's conception method.

3. Fertile days

To calculate fertile days, the woman must have at least one functioning ovary with fallopian tube and uterus, and the man must have sperm present. The most fertile days for the entire calendar year since her last menstrual period are calculated from the client's data.

The success rate of the method depends on the specific organic disease of the woman and the man. Even in some cases of sterility (infertility) with regular use of the Jonah method, pregnancy has eventually occurred after several years.

4. Viable baby

Calculations are especially for women who have had complications in a previous pregnancy, during childbirth, or have given birth to a child with a medical condition.

Dr. Jonah claims that up to 70% of these complications are due to the use of abortifacient contraception, abortion and other similar contraceptive methods.

From the client's data, an accurate breakdown of her fertile and infertile days for one calendar year, beginning with her last menstrual period, is compiled.

In the calculation, the relevant dates are specially marked when the pregnancy should already be proceeding without health complications. There are not many such dates.

In this case, the calculation is carried out over a longer calendar period. At the same time, this calculation includes the calculation of the sex of the child.

Success rate of the Jonah method

The success rate of the calculation and the method of conception itself is individual, taking into account the state of health, circumstances and age of the couple.

The latest statistics published on the official website of the Jonah Method Centre indicate a 98.6% reliability of natural conception.

Statistically, in the first year of conducting using calculus, conception occurs in 2/3 of cases. In the second year, natural conception occurs in another 1/2 and in the third year, usually in more difficult cases.

However, it is necessary to know your medical history, health status and any organic diagnoses.

A consultation with a gynecologist is advisable, as well as a consultation at the Jonas Method Center.

Frequently asked questions about the Jonah Method

  • Who is the method for and who is it not for?

Thecalculation of natural conception regulation is intended for all women who are trying to conceive a child naturally with their partner.

Approximately 50% of the clients of the Jonah Method Centre suffer from polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) or endometriosis.

According to Dr. Jonáš, calculations are successful even in these cases because they are not diagnoses that would prevent conception. According to him, it is always very individual and depends on the specific case of the couple in question.

The method and the calculation of conception is not functional in a situation where the woman's pregnancy is already underway, the woman is in menopause, one of the couple is sterilized or there is an organic reason for infertility, for example, both fallopian tubes are missing.

  • What effect does age have on the possibility of natural conception?

The most fertile age in a woman's life is limited in time. The ideal age for conceiving a child naturally is biologically up to 25 years.

Thereafter, a woman's fertility slowly declines. The major peak in fertility decline occurs at age 30, followed by ages 35 and 40. Dr. Jonas states that age is one important factor that cannot be influenced.

  • Can I undergo the calculation despite irregular periods?

Yes, women with irregular cycles are also clients of the Jonah Method Centre. Unless the irregularity of the cycle is due to some organic problem preventing pregnancy, even in such cases the calculations have been successful.

Natural conception of a child can occur despite the absence of menstruation. Each case is always individual.

Lifestyle as a fertility aid

Men

As part of the lifestyle to support fertility, Dr. Jonah recommends sufficient intake of vitamin C and vitamin E. Consumption of grape seed extract or Peruvian cress - Lepidium meyenii - Maca is suitable.

As part of the diet, he recommends the consumption of dairy products, eggs, lean red meat or nuts. Conversely, he does not recommend excessive intake of chicken.

It recommends avoiding smoking and alcohol consumption.

Women

For women, the diet also advises against smoking, alcohol consumption and excessive exposure to stress. A comprehensive intake of vitamins and minerals is recommended.

To regulate the cycle, support the uterus and eliminate gynecological problems, the diet recommends regular drinking of herbal tea made from the contryhel(Alchemilla vulgaris).
