Muffins are a great treat not only as a Sunday sweet, but also any time of the week, whether for breakfast or as a sweet spot after lunch.

The main ingredient in the recipe is, as the name suggests, bananas, which are full of water and carbohydrates that give our bodies energy.

An excellent feature of bananas is their low fat content. Among minerals, they also contain potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, manganese, copper, selenium, sodium, fibre, zinc and iron. Of the vitamins, A, B2, B6, B9 and C, as well as E and K dominate.

One of the interesting features of bananas is that they are harvested while still green and then left to ripen at a stable temperature. Another interesting feature of ripening is that there are several stages of ripeness. Within these stages, the sugar and starch content is also differentiated.

Bananas are a great help in the fight against stroke. The unripe ones help in the fight against cancer.

They are also among the basic helpers in home recipes against diarrhoea or constipation, because they improve our digestion and soothe it when irritated.

The potassium they contain helps heart health and good blood pressure.

They are also popular with athletes, who find them helpful in reducing muscle cramps, pain and recovery.

Consumption of bananas is also recommended for students. They calm nerves, regulate stress and even act as a natural antidepressant.

Banana peels can also be used for skin problems, after insect bites or to remove warts.

Our recipe also includes dark chocolate, so let's take a look at its effects on our health.

It contains a high proportion of cocoa, which supports cognitive function. This is nice for students in stressful exam periods, for example, but it also has positive effects for the elderly.

It also contains high amounts of nutrients and minerals that improve brain function. These include potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, copper, sodium, calcium or iron, vitamins A, B1, B2, B3.

It is also a rich source of antioxidants, which are important for blood circulation. Thus, bananas lower blood pressure. Thus, they contribute to the prevention of cardiovascular diseases, but also regulate blood pressure.

They also lower cholesterol levels, which also protects the blood vessels and prevents cardiovascular disease.
