Salad with celery substitute is also light due to celery, which even helps in lowering cholesterol or blood pressure.

Chickpeas are also an important component of the salad, which is an ideal dietary legume. It is a very digestible legume, whose valuable property is that it does not bloat.

It is also an ideal 'partner' for coeliacs, diabetics, low-calorie, cholesterol-free or high-fibre diets.

It contains a lot of protein, magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, calcium, fibre, zinc, sodium, also vitamins of groups A, B, C, E, K.

It also has the advantage of containing folic acid, pantothenic acid, omega-3 and omega-6 unsaturated fatty acids and beta-carotene.
